1. Who We Are
Onrog ("we", "our", or "us") is a social discovery application available on Android. Our website is onrog.com and you can reach us at onrog.support@gmail.com.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Onrog mobile application (package: com.spreadlov.onrog) and the website onrog.com.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account information: Your name, email address, date of birth, and password when you register.
- Profile information: Gender, city, state, country, a short bio, and up to 5 profile photos.
- Messages and content: Text messages and images you send to other users through the app.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Online status: Whether you are currently active in the app and when you were last active (used solely to show your status to other users).
- Device token (FCM): A Firebase Cloud Messaging token used exclusively to deliver push notifications to your device. This is never shared with other users.
- Usage data: Basic app interaction data such as when you send messages or initiate calls, collected through Firebase Analytics.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Google Sign-In (optional): If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Display your profile to other users for discovery and connection.
- Enable real-time messaging and voice/video calls between connected users.
- Send push notifications for messages, calls, matches, and likes.
- Show your online status to other users while you are active in the app.
- Improve and maintain the Onrog service.
- Respond to your support requests.
- Enforce our Terms & Conditions and protect against misuse.
4. How We Store Your Information
All user data is stored securely using Google Firebase services, including:
- Firebase Authentication — stores your email and authentication credentials.
- Firebase Firestore — stores profile data, messages, and connection information.
- Firebase Storage — stores your profile photos as secure HTTPS URLs.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications to your device.
Firebase data is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure in the us-central1 region and is subject to Google's privacy standards.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. We only share your information in the following circumstances:
- With other users: Your profile (name, age, bio, photos, online status) is visible to other Onrog users when they browse the app. Your messages are only visible to the user you are communicating with.
- Google Firebase / Google LLC: As our backend infrastructure provider. Firebase processes data on our behalf in accordance with Google's data processing terms.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, we may disclose information to appropriate authorities.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:
- Your profile, photos, messages, message requests, connections, likes, matches, and notifications are permanently deleted from our servers.
- Your Firebase Authentication account is permanently removed.
- Deletion is processed immediately and is irreversible.
7. Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can view all your profile information directly in the app at any time.
- Correction: You can edit your profile (name, bio, photos, location) in the app settings.
- Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time — either through the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by visiting our Delete Account page.
- Blocking: You can block any user to prevent them from contacting you.
- Notifications: You can manage notification preferences in your device settings.
8. Children's Privacy
Onrog is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a user under 18 has created an account, please contact us at onrog.support@gmail.com and we will delete the account promptly.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures include:
- Firebase Security Rules that restrict database access to authenticated users only.
- All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Profile photos stored as private Firebase Storage URLs.
- FCM tokens stored separately from user profile data and never exposed to other users.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-Party Links
The Onrog app and website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify users through the app or by posting a notice on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of Onrog after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
